The Health & Technology District

The Health and Technology District is one of BC’s fastest growing and dynamic health tech centres located in Surrey’s emerging innovation ecosystem. The District includes a series of high-tech buildings located and under expansion, immediately adjacent to Surrey Memorial Hospital.

The District is a unique cluster of large, multinational and startup companies, international partners, clinical and research facilities, scientists, innovators and entrepreneurs. Most importantly, the District is where an abundance of healthcare environments, patients and clinicians are co-located, working in partnership to accelerate the implementation of technologies and solutions towards health care impacts and improvements.

At the heart of this innovation ecosystem is the HealthTech Innovation HUB, a highly interactive space that facilitates collaboration and co-creation of global solutions solving international healthcare challenges. Within this unique and collaborative cluster, significant advances are made to accelerate the implementation of novel technologies and solutions towards health care impacts and improvements.

Developed by Lark Group in anticipation of the rapidly growing health and technology sector in British Columbia, the District includes a series of high-tech buildings, located and expanding immediately adjacent to Surrey Memorial Hospital. Upon completion, the District will consist of over 1 million square feet of multi-use space; creating over 15,000 jobs, and contributing over $1.1 Billion into BC's economy annually.

Attracting global leading health and technology companies, and leading a series of global partnerships and initiatives, the Health & Technology District further serves as ground central for widely expanding national and international networks strengthening Canada’s position in health and technology. For companies looking to grow their solutions and services in the healthcare market, the District provides the perfect environment within the Cascadia Innovation Corridor.
